Depending on where you are, you may begin with posture alignment therapy, progress into fitness conditioning, or combine both approaches. Each step is designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and build lasting resilience.

Out-of-towners and non-residents of Cannon Beach, you are in luck, if you can’t make it to our studio we also regularly work with clients via Zoom sessions. We offer initial postural assessments, posture alignment therapy, follow-ups and fitness conditioning all remotely from the comfort of your home.

Laura blends 30+ years of coaching experience working as a movement specialist, yoga teacher and postural therapist to help you feel better in your body and return to doing the things you love. FitLife follows a simple 2 step process:

Program Approach

1. Initial Fitness Assessment

  1. Benchmark your current strength and flexibility level to measure progression through functional movement testing.
  2. Identify challenges and set outcome goals.
  3. Guide the fitness program development process for optimal results, safety and enjoyment.
  4. Design a program of exercises to help you perform better and meet your personal fitness goals.

2. Follow-up and Maintenance, Private Fitness Coaching

After your initial Fitness Assessment, each follow-up session includes a reassessment of your posture, movement, and progress. This allows us to track meaningful changes in how your body is responding and adapting.

Your program will include targeted strengthening, stretching, and repositioning exercises designed to address postural imbalances and improve how your body functions as a whole. Over time, this helps your system move toward greater efficiency, balance, and ease.

Laura will monitor your progress from both your home program and in-studio sessions, adjusting and progressing your exercises as needed to keep you moving steadily toward your goals.

Consistency is key—the body responds to repetition, sequence, and mindful progression. When supported correctly, it has an incredible capacity to reorganize, rebalance, and improve.

Perfect Posture Package

The Posture Perfect Package is designed to provide personalized, coordinated support to improve your posture and reduce pain more efficiently.

Healthy longevity is built on daily habits—how we sit, stand, and move throughout the day has a direct impact on posture, comfort, and overall well-being.

Posture Correction Therapy focuses on identifying and addressing the key imbalances that contribute to pain, fatigue, reduced energy, and impaired performance. By restoring alignment and improving function, your body can begin to move with greater ease and efficiency.

Program Structure
Your journey begins with an initial 90-minute postural assessment, which provides a clear baseline to track your progress.

This is followed by seven weekly 60-minute sessions designed to ensure you’re performing your exercises correctly, staying consistent, and progressively refining your at-home program.

This structured approach allows for steady progression, ongoing adjustment, and deeper integration of new movement patterns.

Program Approach

1. Initial Postural Assessment: Initial visit is a 90-minute one-on-one session

a. Review of your health history

To understand where we are and where we are going, it is often useful to look at what has happened in the past. It helps isolate potential movement patterns, and also avoid potentially harmful movements.

b. Detailed postural and functional assessment

This assessment is designed to isolate your postural and functional strengths and weaknesses to help us define the ā€œdefinition of postural balanceā€ at this particular point in time.

c. Imagery to reveal the skeletal position and muscular imbalances

The images (photos of your posture) show how your joint position aligns against a grid to understand how the joints are loading and functioning. This analysis can reveal for example if an elevated shoulder and hip are leading to the back pain or if a forward head position or rounded upper back is causing the shoulder pain.

d. Functional Movement Testing & Evaluation

Various functional movements are performed to evaluate your specific limitations and to determine what muscles are active or inactive that are resulting in muscular compensation and pain. With the information gathered, Laura will design an individualized program including pictures and descriptions of the exercises for you to practice at home every day to get your body back in balance. Your program of exercises will help to improve your postural alignment leading to pain relief and better day-to-day performance in life, leisure and sport.

2. Follow-up and Perfect Posture Maintenance 

Follow-up sessions are one hour and include a reassessment of your posture, gait, and movement patterns. This allows us to monitor changes in your body and ensure your program continues to meet your needs.

The corrective exercises you receive are designed to address postural imbalances and retrain the muscles and joints of your body to function more efficiently and in better alignment.

Laura will track your progress based on your home program and in-session work. From there, your exercises will be updated and progressed as needed to keep you moving steadily toward your goals.

Consistency is key—the body responds best to repetition and structured progression. When practiced regularly, these exercises support your body’s natural ability to reorganize, rebalance, and improve as an integrated system.

  • Sessions are payable by cash, check, Venmo or ZelleĀ®, and any major credit card.
  • Please wear light colored clothing for your initial assessment, ideally shorts and t-shirt to reveal ankles, knees, hips and shoulders easily.
